Adaptations of Little Red Riding Hood

There have been many modern uses and adaptations of Little Red Riding Hood, generally with a mock-serious reversal of Red Riding Hood's or some twist of social satire; they range across a number of different media and styles. Multiple variations have been written in the past century, in which authors adapt the Grimms' tale to their own interests. Red Riding Hood, published by Decadent Publishing in August, 2010. This version has Red, a spoiled and indulged young woman, submitting sexually to The Huntsman from the original story. The wolf is a shape-shifter who would also like to bed the young woman.

Red Riding Hood is an upcoming American horror film directed by Catherine Hardwicke from a screenplay by David Leslie Johnson It is very loosely based on the folk tale Little Red Riding Hood collected by both Charles Perrault under the name "Le Petit Chaperon Rouge" (Little Red Riding Hood) and several decades later by the Brothers Grimm as "Rotkäppchen" (Redcape)."Little Red Riding Hood", also known as "Little Red Cape", is a famous fairy tale about a young girl and a Big Bad Wolf. The story has been changed considerably in its history and subject to numerous modern adaptations and readings.

        




Production:
Max Irons and Gary Oldman costar.Under Appian Way Productions, Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael Ireland, Jennifer Davisson Killoran, Alex Mace and Julie Yorn are producing the film. The film is currently being filmed in Vancouver. Early into production, the film was originally titled The Girl with the Red Riding Hood.
